Jammu and Kashmir exit polls 2024: The exit polls for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections 2024 reveal that no political party is expected to achieve the majority threshold of 46 seats in the Union Territory. According to a survey conducted by People’s Pulse, the Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) in alliance with the Congress is projected to win the most seats.
The National Conference is anticipated to emerge as the largest party, securing between 33 to 35 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is predicted to win between 23 and 27 seats, making it the second-largest party in Jammu and Kashmir.

India Today-CVoter Results
The India Today-CVoter exit poll results indicate that in the 43 seats of the Jammu region, the BJP is projected to secure between 27 to 31 seats, while the National Conference and Congress alliance is expected to win 11 to 15 seats.
Dainik Bhaskar Predictions
An exit poll by Dainik Bhaskar forecasts the BJP may win between 20 to 25 seats, whereas the Congress and National Conference alliance could secure between 35 to 40 seats. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is projected to win 4 to 7 seats, while other parties may claim 12 to 16 seats.
No Alliance with BJP: Farooq Abdullah National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has made it clear that his party will not enter into a post-poll alliance with the BJP for government formation in Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah stated, “We cannot go with the BJP. The vote we received here is a vote against the BJP. The difficulties they have imposed on Muslims, including demolishing their shops, houses, mosques, and schools, indicate that collaboration is out of the question.”
He said the BJP had not granted a mandate to any Muslim in the Parliamentary elections, nor is there a single Muslim minister in the Union Cabinet. Abdullah added, “If the BJP believes they will form the government, they are living in a delusional world.” The National Conference has confirmed that it is not in discussions with any political party outside of the INDIA bloc for potential government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.
