Delhi MCD Election Result 2022: Check counting date, time
New Delhi, December 6: Counting of the votes for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls is set to take place on Wednesday, December 7. Election to the 250-member MCD wards took place on Sunday, December 4.
The counting of votes will begin at 8 AM.
A total of 42 vote counting centres have been set up across the national capital in areas including, Shastri Park, Yamuna Vihar, Mayur Vihar, Nand Nagari, Dwarka, Okhla, Mangolpuri, Pitampura, Alipur and Model Town.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has 250 wards, and 1,349 candidates are running in this election. In the closely watched polls held on December 4, Delhi recorded a total voter turnout of 50.48 percent, the results of which may have ramifications beyond the national capital. The election was largely touted as a three-way race between a spirited AAP, a confident BJP, and a hopeful Congress.

"We are all set for tomorrow's vote counting, for which 42 centres have been set up." "Counting will take place amid tight security arrangements," said a senior State Election Commission official.
According to police officials, tight security arrangements have been made at all of the centres, with 20 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces and more than 10,000 police personnel deployed for the day.
Both the AAP and the BJP have expressed confidence that they will win the elections, while Congress is trying to regain lost ground.
In the 2017 civic election, the BJP swept 181 of the 270 wards, AAP won 48 wards and Congress 27.
