Congress' DNA inclined towards curfew and catering biryani to terrorists: Yogi Adityanath

PTC News Desk: During his campaign visit to Rajasthan on Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched scathing criticism against the Congress, accusing the party of displaying leniency towards 'terror suspects' and labelling it as the 'primary obstacle' confronting the nation.

In his first campaign outside Uttar Pradesh since the announcement of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls slated to commence from April 19, Adityanath addressed a series of well-attended rallies in Rajasthan, asserting his role as a prominent campaigner for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) across the nation. He lambasted the Congress, alleging its inclination to instate curfews as an intrinsic trait. Adityanath's rhetoric intensified as he claimed that the party would deprive the impoverished of basic necessities while offering extravagant meals like biryani to terrorists.

Addressing a public gathering at the Ashok Sharma Senior Secondary School in Lalsot, Rajasthan, Adityanath denounced the Congress's historical negligence towards revered figures such as Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, dismissing them as mere figments of imagination. He criticised the party for perpetuating an era of impoverishment among the masses.

Reflecting on the BJP's success in the Rajasthan assembly elections, particularly in Dausa, where the party secured victories in five out of eight assembly seats, Adityanath emphasised the widespread resonance of the chant "Fir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar" (Modi government once again) across the nation.

Highlighting the accomplishments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance over the past decade, Adityanath lauded the fortification of India's borders and the nation's resolute stance against terrorism. He emphasised the paradigm shift wherein nations previously harbouring terrorists now refrain from endorsing such activities, attributing it to India's unwavering commitment to counter-terrorism measures.

Adityanath further praised the strides made in the erstwhile tumultuous region of Kashmir, citing developmental initiatives and increased tourism as indicators of progress. He extended invitations to the residents of Dausa to visit Ayodhya, underscoring the cultural and religious significance of the holy city.

In Bharatpur, Adityanath contrasted the BJP's welfare-driven governance with the Congress's alleged negligence, highlighting initiatives such as providing free rations to 80 crore impoverished individuals, maintaining peace and order, and fostering economic growth and employment opportunities. Adityanath concluded by urging voters to rally behind Modi, portraying him as the architect of a new India characterized by security, prosperity, and dignity for all citizens. He emphasised Modi's unprecedented engagement with soldiers on national holidays and lauded his leadership during crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a rallying cry for support, Adityanath underscored the pivotal role of every vote in contributing towards the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and safeguarding the nation's borders, urging citizens to align their allegiance with the BJP for a stronger and more prosperous India.
