PTC Web Desk: Two complaints have been filed against AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi, who sparked outrage by hailing a conflict-torn West Asian country after taking oath as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha.

According to the details, advocate Hari Shankar Jain filed a complaint against Owaisi over the former's slogans in the House. Advocate Vineet Jindal filed a second complaint against Owaisi under Article 103 of the Indian Constitution.

Notably, Owaisi's remarks were removed even after he exited the House and told reporters that there was nothing wrong with saying "Jai Bheem, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine".

When asked about his comments, Owaisi told reporters, "Other members are also saying different things... How is this wrong? Tell me about the provisions of the Constitution. You should also listen to what others are saying. I said what I needed to. Read what Mahatma Gandhi said about Palestine."

When asked why he mentioned Palestine, he responded, "They are oppressed people."

Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju stated that he has received complaints from some members regarding the mention of Palestine.

The leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, who was elected for a fifth term in Hyderabad, took the oath of office in Urdu. He also recited a prayer before taking the oath.
