As voting for 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana continues, BJP candidate Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt Assembly seat has confidently declared that the BJP will form the government in Haryana and hinted at the possibility of becoming Chief Minister, citing his seniority in the party.

'I am the senior-most': BJP's Anil Vij makes claim for CM post in Haryana

PTC News Desk: As voting for 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana continues, BJP candidate Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt Assembly seat has confidently declared that the BJP will form the government in Haryana and hinted at the possibility of becoming Chief Minister, citing his seniority in the party.

Anil Vij, the BJP candidate for the Ambala Cantt Assembly seat, stated, "The BJP will form the government in Haryana. The party will decide who becomes Chief Minister; if the party chooses me, our next meeting will be held at the Chief Minister's residence. I am the senior most in the party..."


He went on to say that the people of Ambala would vote for the BJP since the Lotus symbol represented peace.

"The people of Ambala want to stay peacefully; they do not want hooliganism back here...Peace indicates the lotus...The BJP will create a government in Haryana. Kumari Selja is feeling suffocated in Congress, and she is not respected within the party...," he stated.

Meanwhile, voting for 90 assembly seats in Haryana began on Saturday, with a 9.53 percent voter turnout as of 9 a.m., according to the Election Commission of India.

According to ECI data, Jind had the highest poll percentage at 12.71 percent, followed by Palwal at 12.45 percent, Ambala at 11.87 percent, Fatehabad at 11.81 percent, and Mahendragarh at 11.51 percent as of 9 a.m.
