Nitish Kumar's Resignation and Reasons:
On Sunday, Nitish Kumar formally announced his resignation as the Chief Minister of Bihar. His decision stemmed from the lack of response from the Opposition's INDIA bloc, leading to his departure from the Bihar Mahagathbandhan.
"Today, I have resigned as the chief minister, and I have also told the Governor to dissolve the government in the state," stated Kumar during a press conference after tendering his resignation to Governor Rajendra Arlekar. Kumar elucidated that the situation within the Mahagathbandhan government was untenable, prompting him to seek the dissolution of the government. Despite his concerted efforts to foster collaboration within the INDIA bloc, he lamented the absence of a positive response.
"I decided after taking views of all...I was making all-out effort to make the INDIA bloc running…but no response was coming," he added, highlighting the challenges that led to this consequential decision.
