Bibhav Kumar, accused of assaulting Swati Maliwal, spotted alongside Arvind Kejriwal
PTC News Desk: Arvind Kejriwal's aide, Bibhav Kumar, was seen with the chief minister of Delhi on Wednesday at the Lucknow airport, following his inappropriate behaviour with Swati Maliwal a few days before.
The Delhi Chief Minister was also spotted meeting Sanjay Singh, the head of the Aam Aadmi Party.
Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi and convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, is visiting Lucknow at the same time that the Opposition INDIA bloc is considering holding a joint press conference in Lucknow with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, chief of the Samajwadi Party (SP), Akhilesh Yadav.
Tajinder Bagga, a BJP leader, questioned Arvind Kejriwal about disciplining Bibhav Kumar for reportedly misbehaving with Swati Maliwal, while also criticising Kejriwal.
"Sanjay Singh ji was saying that you will take strict action against Bibhav but you started making him tour the whole country," Bagga wrote on X, citing Singh's claim that Bibhav Kumar "misbehaved" with Maliwal and that Kejriwal ordered stern action on the subject.
Swati Maliwal, the Rajya Sabha MP for the AAP, said on Monday that she was "assaulted" at the Chief Minister's official residence by a member of Arvind Kejriwal's personal staff.
Subsequently, the police declared that they had not received an official complaint in this respect from Maliwal.
They claimed to have received a PCR call at 9:34 a.m. from a woman reporting that the Chief Minister of Delhi's home had been the scene of an assault.
"MP Madam eventually made her way to the police station. But before leaving, she said she will file a complaint later," MK Meena, the deputy commissioner of police for the north, told reporters.
Another officer claimed that Maliwal was the person on the other end of the conversation and that the call originated from her mobile number.
