PTC Web Desk: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh announced on Wednesday that Arvind Kejriwal would vacate his official bungalow within 15 days after his resignation as Delhi Chief Minister is formally accepted. Sanjay Singh raised concerns about Kejriwal’s security, citing previous attacks on him.

“At the press conference, we stressed the importance of security for Arvind Kejriwal, but he seems unconcerned, believing God will protect him,” said Sanjay Singh, adding that Kejriwal had spent six months in jail with dangerous criminals and is now choosing to live among the public. Arvind Kejriwal’s future residence is still undecided, but Sanjay Singh mentioned that with the love and support of the people, a suitable home would be found.

Kejriwal has lived in the bungalow on Flag Staff Road in Delhi’s Civil Lines since 2015, facing criticism over its costly renovations. He will vacate the property after his resignation is officially processed.

Meanwhile, AAP leader Atishi has claimed the right to form the next government following Arvind Kejriwal's resignation on Tuesday. Kejriwal had nominated her as his successor, with the AAP legislative party giving him the authority to pick the next CM.  The formal notification of Kejriwal’s resignation will be issued once it is forwarded to and approved by the President, under Article 239AA (5) of the Constitution, which grants the President the power to appoint the Chief Minister of Delhi.
