PTC Web Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday highlighted the political stability that he claimed India has enjoyed under the leadership of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. Speaking on the achievements of the past decade, he commended the efforts of the administration in steering the nation towards becoming a developed country. Shah's remarks came as the NDA marked 100 days in office in its third term under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Reflecting on the government’s accomplishments over the last decade, Amit Shah said internal security had been significantly strengthened, which had laid the foundation for sustained economic and infrastructural growth. He credited the public for trusting the BJP to lead the country once again.

A major highlight of Amit Shah's address was the New Education Policy (NEP) introduced by the Modi government, which he described as a balanced approach between ancient and modern education systems. He said the policy honoured India's rich cultural heritage by promoting regional languages alongside contemporary educational needs.

Shah also discussed the government’s focus on space exploration, a field where India has made significant strides in recent years. The successful missions led by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have earned international recognition, enhancing India's stature on the global stage. He attributed these achievements to a strong foreign policy and concerted efforts in promoting technological advancements in space, agriculture, and other key sectors.

One of the notable achievements Amit Shah highlighted was the Lakhpati Didi scheme, through which over 11 lakh women have benefitted.

He said the government had also launched a series of initiatives to mark its 100 days in office, which coincided with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 74th birthday on September 17. To commemorate this milestone, the BJP inaugurated a special event called ‘Sewa Pakhwada,’ which would run until October 2.

This initiative aims to connect the government’s development agenda with community service programmes.

Shah also highlighted the substantial economic and infrastructural achievements under Modi 3.0, revealing that a staggering Rs 15 lakh crore has been invested across various sectors to promote growth and development. Of this, Rs 3 lakh crore has been allocated during the first 100 days of the current government, with Rs 76,000 crore specifically earmarked for development projects in Vardhaman, Maharashtra.

The Union Home Minister also shed light on key infrastructure projects, including the inauguration of new runways at major airports such as Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bihar, and two other locations. These projects aim to enhance connectivity and boost regional economies by facilitating easier movement of goods and people.

In the agricultural sector, Amit Shah announced the disbursement of the 21st installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, which provides financial support to farmers. He also noted the government's recent increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops, surpassing the levels provided during the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government. This move, he said, is aimed at bolstering farmers' income and ensuring that agriculture remains a sustainable livelihood.
