AAP vs BJP: Ruckus in Delhi civic body during key voting; one councillor collapses
Ruckus in Delhi civic body: Massive ruckus broke out at Delhi Civic Centre once again on Friday as AAP and BJP Councillors jostled, manhandled and rained blows on each other. This was the third day of commotions in the House.
Moreover, a councillor also collapsed at Delhi Civic Centre during clashes between AAP and BJP Councillors.
The development came as the counting of votes for six members of a key body of the Delhi municipality was halted after the BJP objected to one vote being declared invalid. The Mayor insisted that the result be declared despite the invalid vote. If the Mayor declares the result, the BJP has stated that it will take the matter to court.
Members of the ruling AAP and BJP climbed onto tables and started shouting slogans against each other in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) house with BJP members saying they will not allow a recount.
"One side is ready for recounting, while the other side is not. That is why I'm not recounting. The result is being declared without the invalid vote," said Mayor Shelly Oberoi.

At least 242 of the 250 councillors in the AAP-run civic body voted to appoint six members to the MCD's standing committee. The committee has the power to decide how and on what projects funds are to be spent.
Oberoi came under fire from angry BJP councillors who yelled "you are not in your senses" at her after she declared one vote invalid.
Some BJP councillors chanted "Jai Shri Ram" in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Their AAP opponents responded, "Aam Aadmi Party zindabad, Arvind Kejriwal zindabad."
