AAP says they were denied permission for events in Haryana with rude language: AAP

PTC News Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has raised serious allegations against the authorities in Haryana, claiming that their application seeking permission for two poll programmes was met with abusive language in the reply.

Brahm Prakash, the sub-divisional magistrate-cum-assistant returning officer in Kaithal, Haryana, has taken immediate action, ordering the suspension of five computer operators and initiating a thorough investigation by the police into the matter.

Sushil Gupta, the Haryana unit chief of AAP and a contender in the upcoming Lok Sabha election from the Kurukshetra constituency, disclosed that the party had applied for permission for two poll programmes scheduled for April 7. Kaithal falls under the jurisdiction of the Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency. Gupta expressed deep dismay over the reply received from the authorities, revealing that one application was outright rejected, while the other contained abusive language in the section designated for reasons of approval or rejection.

Labelling the use of such objectionable language as utterly shameful, Gupta urged the Election Commission to take strict action against those responsible for such conduct. AAP leaders clarified that they had followed due procedure by applying for permission through the designated portal for the April 7 programmes.

When approached for comment, Brahm Prakash confirmed the suspension of five computer operators and the initiation of a police investigation into the matter. He also mentioned the possibility of the portal being compromised or hacked. With the Lok Sabha polls scheduled to be conducted in seven phases beginning April 19 and the counting of votes slated for June 4, Haryana is set to go to the polls on May 25.
