Police arrest three in connection with sacrilege at Rajasansi’s Gurdwara Ber Sahib
Jalandhar, May 22: Punjab police on Sunday arrested three people in connection with the incident of sacrilege at Gurdwara Ber Sahib in Dharamkot village, Rajasansi. The arrested persons are said to be the main accused of sacrilege that took place on Saturday. The police lodged an FIR against the act on Saturday night. The case has been registered under Sections 295A and 120B. Those arrested have been identified as Massa Singh and his two sons. According to reports, the police scanned CCTV cameras in the area to identify the miscreants and arrested the accused after a thorough investigation. Notably, torn pages of Guru Granth Sahib were found in Rajasansi’s Gurdwara Ber Sahib on Saturday, creating chaos in the area. The miscreants allegedly tore 40 pages of the holy book, Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Following the incident, the police were informed and an investigation was launched into the matter.
