PM Narendra Modi offers prayers at Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham temple
New Delhi, February 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday offered prayers at Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Mandir in Delhi's Karol Bagh on the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti.
PM Narendra Modi further interacted with the devotees and also participated in the 'Shabad Kirtan' in the temple. He even played Khartal with women during his visit to the temple.

Sharing the video of him playing the Khartal, he wrote: "Very special moments at the Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Mandir in Delhi."
Earlier on February 15, PM Modi had tweeted: "The way he dedicated his life to eliminating the evil practices like caste and untouchability from society, he is still inspiring for all of us."
In a series of tweets, PM Modi also said that the work of Sant Guru Ravidas temple in Kashi is in full swing. The Prime Minister on Wednesday addressed a public rally in Punjab's Pathankot where he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government followed the footsteps of Sant Ravidas and ensured that everyone has food during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sant Ravidas belonged to the bhakti movement during the 15th to 16th century and his hymns are included in the Guru Granth Sahib. He is considered the founder of the 21st-century Ravidassia religion.
