PM Modi's security breach case: The Supreme Court is set to pronounce its order on the formation of a committee to probe Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "security breach case" on Wednesday. The committee will be headed by a retired top court Judge. A panel chaired by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana will pronounce the order. On Monday, the Supreme Court said that an independent committee led by a former top court Judge would be formed to probe security failure during PM Modi's Punjab visit on January 5. Meanwhile, the Bench has directed both the Central and Punjab governments not to proceed with the inquiries conducted by their respective committees. For unversed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes during his visit to Punjab's Ferozepur earlier this month. The road was blocked by protesters opposing PM's visit to the poll-bound state. The Ministry of Home Affairs labelled the incident as a "major lapse" in Prime Minister's security.
