Pilot dies after plane crashes into truck on highway in US, video goes viral
North Carolina, February 18: An airplane crashed into a tractor-trailer on a North Carolina highway on Wednesday, killing the pilot and injuring the truck driver. The accident also sparked a small fire, informed N.C. State Highway Patrol.
The tragic accident was caught on camera and the footage of this is going viral on the internet.
The video from the scene of the accident showed both the tractor and trailer on its left side. The tail section of the aircraft was seen next to the toppled vehicle. Firefighters were also seen spraying water as flames engulfed the ground near I-85, with some debris scattered all over the road.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the accident took place at around 5:35 pm when a twin-engine Beechcraft Barron crashed into the tractor-trailer on Interstate 85 South, near the Davidson County Airport in Lexington on Wednesday.
As per the preliminary reports, the plane was taking off from the airport when it lost altitude and crashed into the southbound tractor-trailer.
The 43-year-old pilot was killed due to the impact of the crash, while the officials said the tractor-trailer driver was taken to a Winston-Salem hospital for minor injuries.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash, but no other information like the pilot's identity was provided on the day of the crash.
