PGI Chandigarh, Panjab University among top-three best institutes
Chandigarh, July 15: As per the Ministry of Education’s National Institutional Ranking Framework, Punjab’s PGI Chandigarh and Punjab University ranks in top three best college in the country.
According to the 2022 rankings released by Union Education Minister, The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, bagged the top spot among educational institutes in the country for the fourth consecutive year while the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, has been the best university.

In the overall category, IIT Madras is followed by IISc Bengaluru at second spot while IIT Bombay has been ranked third.
Among the pharmacy institutes, Jamia Hamdard has bagged the top rank. The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad, is the second best in the category while Panjab University, Chandigarh, has been ranked third.
Among the best medical college in the country, AIIMS Delhi has been ranked the best followed by PGIMER, Chandigarh, and CMC, Vellore.
