Petrol pump owner shot dead in Amritsar
Amritsar, August 11: In a recent incident, Petrol Pump owner was shot dead in Amritsar on Wednesday late night. The deceased has been identified as Mohan Singh who runs a petrol pump on Fatehgarh Churian highway within the metropolis. As per the sources and statements from the eye witness, Mohan Singh just reached outside his house when Toyota Innova SUV additionally reached there and assailant shot him. The incident took place at around 10:30 pm on Wednesday night when Mohan Singh reached his house after work. It has also been said that nobody nearby heard the sounds of gunshots as assailants used silencers on weapons. Meanwhile, as soon as the police came to know about the incident, senior police officials, deputy commissioner along with police force reached the spot. A case has been registered under IPC 25-54-59 and Arms Act . The investigation is under progress and CCTV cameras were being analysed. Amid heavy security in Punjab’s Amritsar due to Independence Day, the incident took place which instill a way of safety among the residents. -PTC News
