Petrol, Diesel prices in India rise again after a two-day pause
After 2-day hiatus, the state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) hiked the petrol and diesel prices in India on Thursday, October 14, 2021.
In Delhi, the petrol and diesel prices have climbed up and were hiked by 35 paise per litre each, according to the Indian Oil Corporation.

With this, the petrol in Delhi costs Rs 104.79 per litre and diesel is being sold at Rs 93.52 per litre. In financial capital, the petrol will now cost Rs 110.75 per litre, following a hike of 34 paise, taking the rates to a record high.

Meanwhile, a litre of diesel in Mumbai costs Rs 101.40 following a hike of 37 paise.
Similarly, the rates of petrol and diesel in Kolkata rise to Rs 105.43 and Rs 96.63 per litre, respectively. In Chennai, petrol costs Rs 102.10 per litre while diesel costs Rs 97.93 per litre.
Fuel rates last witnessed a hike on October 11, 2021. Following the latest price hike, the prices of petrol and diesel in India have touched record highs across the country on October 14.
Fuel prices are revised by Oil Marketing Companies like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum on the basis of international prices in the preceding 15 days and foreign stock exchanges.
