Patiala: Police bust interstate smuggling plot, seize liquor-loaded truck
Patiala, October 28 (By Gagandeep Ahuja): In a major success, Punjab Police busted an interstate liquor smuggling bid. Police have seized a liquor-loaded truck from the Patiala district of Punjab which was headed to Gujarat.
According to information, GS Sikand, the in-charge of the Special Cell, seized a six-tire trailer on Patiala Chaura Road.
Giving details regarding the matter, Sikand said that liquor was loaded from a closed rice sheller near Patiala into this truck trolley, which was seized by the police special cell on Chaura Road during a routine check at around 9 p.m. on Thursday.

The trailer was taken to the Sanaur police station, where the liquor cartons were counted. According to sources, this trolley contains approximately 500 bottles of English brand liquor.
