Pak shells Uri sector, one civilian injured
One civilian was injured in latest Pakistani shelling in the URI sector in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Pakistan violated the ceasefire at Gawahalan, Chokas, Kiker, and Kathi posts in the Uri sector.

The security forces rushed the civilian to a nearby hospital. More details of the ceasefire are awaited.

Earlier in the day, two militants were killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir.

Indian security forces received information about the presence of terrorist in the area. Following which, the Indian security forces (Army’s 22 RR, 92 battalions, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and SOG) conducted launched a search operation. Forces also installed lights to capture the militants.
