On the very next day, Assam's Niraj Bishnoi, who is the creator of the app was arrested by the IFSO unit of the Delhi police's Special Cell.
Bulli Bai came under fire after Mumbai police lodged an FIR following complaints from several women targeted by the app.
The controversial app disclosed the details of several Muslim women, allowing users to participate in their 'auction'.
The Bulli Bai app which is now blocked by GitHub is the second case of such kind of sexual harassment and cyber-bullying that targeted women from the minority community.
Last year, a similar app and website called 'Sulli Deals' was uncovered. The term 'sulli' is a derogatory slang used by the right-wing against Muslim women in India.
