Netflix sets May 20 premiere date for Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Jersey’
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 17: After Shahid Kapoor-starrer 'Jersey' turned out to be a disappointing affair at the box office, the makers are now all set to release the film on Netflix on May 20. Trade experts felt that Jersey was not able to reach its potential because it faced competition from the actioner K.G.F: Chapter 2, which released a week before it. JERSEY ARRIVES ON NETFLIX ON 20TH MAY." Helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, 'Jersey' revolves around Arjun (played by Shahid), a failed cricketer who decides to fulfil his dream of representing Team India for happiness of his son. Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur are also a part of the film, which is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name. Jersey is made under the banner of Allu Entertainment with the collab of Dill Raju Production, The distributors are Balaji telefilms for North, along with Pen Marudhar Entertainment for the south.
