Zepto: 21-year-old Zepto co-founder joins India's richest with Rs 3,600 crore net worth
PTC News Desk: Kaivalya Vohra, co-founder of the quick commerce app Zepto, has made history as the youngest individual to be featured on the Hurun India Rich List. At just 21 years old, Vohra boasts an impressive net worth of Rs 3,600 crore. His co-founder, Aadit Palicha, who is 22, is the second youngest on the list.
Vohra and Palicha, both former Stanford University students, left their computer science studies to embark on their entrepreneurial journey. They launched Zepto in 2021 to address the increasing demand for rapid and contactless delivery of essential items during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Zepto operates in the fiercely competitive grocery delivery sector in India. It faces competition from major players such as Amazon's India unit, Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit, and BigBasket, a part of the Tata Group.
Kaivalya Vohra first appeared on the IIFL Wealth-Hurun India Rich List in 2022 at the age of 19 and has continued to be featured annually since then.

The 2024 Hurun India Rich List has reached a notable milestone with India's billionaire count exceeding 300 for the first time. This year's list highlights a diverse array of individuals across various sectors, including entertainment, corporate, and quick commerce.
Gautam Adani and his family topped the 2024 Hurun India Rich List with a staggering wealth of ₹11.6 lakh crore, surpassing Mukesh Ambani. Adani, who was ranked fourth in 2020, saw his wealth increase by 95% over the past year, marking a significant rebound following the scrutiny from the Hindenburg report.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan also secured a position on the list, underscoring his status as one of India's most successful and affluent celebrities. Additionally, Radha Vembu, the founder of Zoho Corporation, and Anand Chandrasekaran, a prominent tech executive, are among the distinguished individuals featured on this elite list.
