World's largest lamp to illuminate Ayodhya ahead of Ram temple opening
PTC Web Desk: Ahead of the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, a monumental 300-foot lamp, declared as the world's largest, is set to be illuminated in the city at 5 pm on Friday. Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya announced that the colossal lamp would be fueled by 1.25 quintals of cotton and 21,000 litre of oil, incorporating soil and water from various locations across the country, along with cow's ghee.
Emphasising the significance of the occasion, Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya likened it to the celebration of Diwali when Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile.
Describing the extensive efforts invested in creating this world's largest lamp, Acharya mentioned that 108 teams worked tirelessly for a year to complete the task, highlighting the lamp's uniqueness as oil was specially sourced from Sita Mata's parental homeland. As the vedic rituals leading up to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla continued, Govind Dev Giri, a member of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, shared that the 'Netronmelan' (unveiling of Ram Lalla's statue) would involve applying honey to a gold bar.
