PTC Web Desk: In a disturbing incident, a woman was allegedly molested inside an ambulance while accompanying her husband to a hospital in Uttar Pradesh. The incident was reported on August 30 in Siddharthnagar district. Her husband also lost his life.

As per information, the woman had initially taken her husband, Harish, to Basti Medical College after he fell ill. As his condition worsened, doctors referred him to another hospital. Unable to afford the private hospital fees, she decided to return home for treatment.

In the ambulance, the driver and his aide allegedly forced her to sit in the front seat, where they allegedly sexually harassed her. When she attempted to protest, they reportedly cut off her husband's oxygen supply and forcibly ejected both of them from the vehicle. The driver also allegedly stole her jewellery.

Her husband, already in a critical condition, was severely affected by the interruption in oxygen supply and his health deteriorated further. The woman contacted her brother, who then reported the incident to the police.

The police took Harish to a hospital, but he died later. The victim has filed a formal complaint at the Ghazipur police station in Lucknow. Additional Director General of Police Lucknow North, Jitendra Dubey, confirmed that a case has been registered and investigations are underway.
