Uttar Pradesh: 3 children among family of 5 found dead in Meerut
PTC News Desk: Five members of a family including three children were found dead in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut. The bodies of the couple were found lying on the floor, while the bodies of the children were found inside the bed box.
The victims include a man, his wife, and their three daughters, all under the age of 10.
According to police, all the bodies had head injuries, and appeared to have been hit with a heavy object. "The exact cause of death will be determined after the postmortem. Based on initial observations, it appears to be a case of murder due to personal enmity. Senior officials are present at the site, and the investigation is progressing swiftly," said SSP Vipin Tada.
The cops were informed about the locked house by the neighbours when they noticed something unusual. The officials upon finding the house locked from outside entered through roof and found the bodies of Moin, his wife Asma and their three daughters -- Afsa (8), Aziza (4) and Adiba (1).
"The manner in which the house was locked suggests that the individual involved in the crime may have been someone known to the family," said SSP.
Soon after the incident, forensic teams rushed the spot to examin the crime scene and are working in coordination with police to discover the motive behind the crime.
