UP shocker: Man beheads sister, walks to police station with severed head
PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, a man has been arrested in UP's Barabanki as he walked to the police station with the severed head of his sister, who he killed over her relationship.
The incident took place on Friday in the Mithwara village in the Fatehpur area in UP's Barabanki after an argument between Riyaz (22) and his sister Aashifa (18).
Riyaz allegedly beheaded his sister with a sharp weapon and was on his way to the police station holding her head when he was apprehended, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Mishra.
Mishra stated that Aashifa had recently eloped with her partner Chand Babu, a resident of the same village.
However, Aashifa was recovered a few days later and Babu was arrested based on a complaint lodged by the woman's family members, he added.
After gathering the necessary evidence, a police squad went to the place where the woman was beheaded and sent the body for an autopsy, according to the ASP.
According to locals, Riyaz was opposed to his sister's relationship, and the two frequently argued about it. According to the ASP, a case has been filed and the accused has been apprehended.
