UP: Portion of British-era Bridge connecting Unnao, Kanpur collapses

The bridge, which had been closed for over four years, fell at two a.m. They stated that no untoward incidents were reported as a result of the incident.
According to locals, the Avadh and Rohilkhand Railway Limited Company built the bridge at the Ganga Ghat in Shuklaganj, Unnao district, in 1874.
According to local Ashu Awasthi, "After 2 a.m., a portion of the bridge between two pillars fell into the Ganga. No one suffered injuries since the bridge was closed to traffic."
As a part of the bridge collapsed into the Ganga, a number of locals rushed to the scene and took videos of the structure. The videos and photos of the construction quickly spread on social media.
