Torrential rains in Himachal: National Highways blocked at two locations in Shimla
Shimla National Highways blocked: Due to relentless rainfall and thunderstorm in Himachal Pradesh, National Highways have been blocked at two locations in Shimla.
National Highways in the Jeori and Broni Nallah area near Jhakri in the region have been blocked due to heavy downpours.
Earlier on Sunday also, National Highway-5 had been blocked at three places in Shimla and Kinnaur districts due to landslides in the region.

Cloudburst in Himachal’s Kullu
Due to relentless and torrential rainfall and thunderstorm in Himachal Pradesh, cloudburst striked Kullu district on Tuesday.
Thus, due to the cloudburst several houses were damaged and two bridges also washed away.
As per the data, a total of five houses were completely damaged and 15 houses have been partially damaged due to the occurrence of cloudbursts.
Apart from this, the Bhuntar-Gadsa Maniyar road has also been damaged. Two bridges were also washed away due to the cloudburst.

Kullu,
Kangra,
Chamba,
Sirmaur,
Solan,
Mandi.
These districts will be receiving heavy rainfall. The rain will continue but there will not be much rain during the next 48 hours.

1. Avoid visiting hilly areas and places prone to landslides and heavy rainfall.
2. Avoid trekking amid inclement weather.
3. In case of lightning strikes, it is safe to stay indoors.
4. Do not visit river areas.
5. Pay attention to the warnings issued by the weather department.
6. Request Gram Panchayat Chieves, private organisations, tourists, and trekkers to spread the word.
7. Possibility of landslides, flash floods and fog especially in the districts of Shimla and Mandi.
