Tihar jail officials accuse Satyendar Jain of abusing, threatening them; file complaint
New Delhi, January 5: Officials from Tihar jail on Thursday alleged that jailed AAP minister Satyendar Jain has been abusing them and threatening them with dire consequences once he gets out of prison.
According to Tihar jail officials, Jain has been blatantly intimidating these officers and others for their actions in attempting to prevent him from availing of massage, lavish food, and other VIP treatments that have recently come to light.
On December 8, 2022, Assistant Superintendent Jaidev and Deputy Superintendent Parveen Kumar of Tihar Jail filed an 'incident report' against Satyendra Jain, claiming that when they went to serve a Show Cause Notice on Satyendra Jain in accordance with Rule 1272 of the DPR, 2018, he threatened them.

In the complaint lodged against the Minister, Superintendent, Chaudhary said, "at that time he (undersigned), assumed that Satyendra Jain said this because of frustration, but in view of the latest incident report dated December 8, 2022, he has apprehension that Satyendra Jain, being a Minister may take adverse action against him and other Jail officials, once he comes out of the Jail".
"In view of the above, it is requested that Satyendra Jain may be transferred to some other Jail at the earliest," the complaint added.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested Satyendar Jain on May 30, 2022, under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
On Monday, the Supreme Court refused to hear jailed minister Satyendar Jain's petition challenging the Delhi High Court's order and requesting that his bail application in a money laundering case be heard expeditiously.
