Thunderstorm, heavy rain lashes Delhi-NCR, waterlogging leads to traffic chaos
Heavy rains in Delhi: Heavy rains lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Thursday along with thunderstorms and gusty winds, bringing relief from the heatwave conditions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also issued alert predicting light to moderate rains accompanied by gusty winds over the next few hours.

Several places of Delhi-NCR including Narela, Bawana, Alipur, Burari, Rohini, Badili, Model Town, Karawal Nagar, Azadpur, Pitampura, Delhi University, Civil Lines, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, Punjabi Bagh, Kashmiri Gate, Seelampur, Shahadra, Vivek Vihar, Patel Nagar, Red fort, Preet Vihar, President House, Rajeev Chowk, ITO), NCR( Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri) Sonipat, Kharkhoda (Haryana) Baraut, Bagpat, Meerut, Khekra, Modinagar, Kithor, Pilakhua, Hapur (UP) received moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speeds of 30-40 Km/h and thunderstorms.

IMD also issued alert in various areas of Delhi-NCR for the next few hours.
Meanwhile, waterlogging was reported in various areas, causing traffic jams around the city.
The city experienced severe congestion due to water accumulation, resulting in a traffic jam extending up to several kilometers.
Commuters faced substantial delays, and public transportation services were also hindered. Notably, a bus with passengers remained stranded in the waterlogged conditions.

Overall, the rain brought relief to Delhi's residents, offering a pleasant weather.
