Kerala couple among three found dead in Arunachal hotel room

PTC News Desk: Three individuals, including a married couple from Kerala and their friend, were discovered deceased inside a hotel room in Arunachal Pradesh, prompting speculation surrounding the circumstances of their demise. Kerala police have announced plans to dispatch a team to Arunachal Pradesh to investigate the incident, amid murmurs of black magic potentially playing a role in the tragedy.

While acknowledging the peculiarity of the situation, Thiruvananthapuram city police Commissioner C Nagaraju emphasised the need for a thorough examination of the victims' electronic devices before drawing any conclusions. He refrained from confirming allegations of black magic, stating that conclusive evidence must be gathered first.

The deceased individuals, identified as Arya from Thiruvananthapuram and Naveen along with his wife Devi from Kottayam, were found lifeless within a room at Hotel Blue Pine in Hapoli, Lower Subansiri district. The discovery has left authorities grappling with questions regarding the circumstances leading to their visit and subsequent demise.

Concerns have been raised by Soorya Krishnamoorthy, a friend of the deceased couple's family, who suggested that black magic might have played a role in their deaths. He relayed information from Devi's father, a wildlife photographer, who purportedly held this belief. Krishnamoorthy underscored the importance of raising awareness about such practices to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

The couple, both ayurveda doctors, had been married for 13 years and occasionally visited Naveen's family in Kottayam. They arrived at the hotel on March 28, with initial investigations in Arunachal Pradesh hinting at the possibility of suicide. However, authorities await the completion of autopsies before reaching definitive conclusions.

Naveen was involved in online trading, while Devi taught German at a private school, and Arya worked as a French teacher in the same institution. As the investigation unfolds, authorities seek to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the tragic demise of these individuals, while communities grapple with the aftermath of this puzzling incident.
