'These incidents happen in big cities': Karnataka minister's shocking remarks over Bengaluru molestation case
PTC News Desk: Karnataka Home Minister G Parmeswara on Monday made shocking remarks over molestation case in Bengaluru and said that these unfortunate incidents happen in big cities like the state capital.
"Incidents like these tend to happen here and there in a big city like this. Whatever legal action needs to be taken will be done in accordance with the law," G. Parmeswara said.
Parmeswara emphasised the need for increased vigilance, adding, "I have also instructed our commissioner to increase beat patrolling."
The CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media showing a man groping a woman on street at Bharati Layout in Suddaguntepalya before fleeing. The video shows man approaching a two women who were walking along a narrow line and then pushing one of them against the wall and touche her inappropriately before fleeing.
The incident took place on April 3.
Bengaluru police took suo moto of the incident and registered a case even though victim is yet to file a complaint. The case has been registered under Section 354B (assault or use of criminal force with intent to disrobe a woman).
