Thane road rage: Tata Harrier rams Fortuner twice, child's screams heard during incident

PTC News Desk: In a shocking road rage incident in Maharashtra's Thane, a Tata Harrier SUV was captured on video ramming into a Toyota Fortuner not once but twice, causing chaos and fear. The incident, which occurred today at around 11 am, has left the community shaken and has prompted a police investigation.

The video footage of the incident shows the black Tata Harrier aggressively pursuing the white Toyota Fortuner. A child is visible in the backseat of the Fortuner, and his terrified screams can be heard as the Harrier first strikes the SUV from behind. In a frightening turn, the Harrier then takes a U-turn and accelerates back towards the Fortuner, ramming it head-on for a second time.

The incident did not end there. A man who was standing nearby on the road was struck by the Harrier during the altercation. The impact was severe enough that the man was dragged several meters by the vehicle before the Harrier came to a stop. The condition of the injured bystander has not yet been disclosed, but the incident has sparked concern over the safety of pedestrians and the increasing frequency of road rage cases.

The incident was brought to the attention of the police through a post on X (formerly Twitter), where a concerned citizen shared the video and alerted the authorities. The Thane police responded quickly, stating that they are looking into the matter and have launched an investigation to apprehend those involved and determine the motive behind the aggressive behaviour.

As the investigation continues, the video of the incident has gone viral, drawing widespread condemnation and calls for stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such dangerous incidents on the road. The police are urging anyone with additional information or eyewitness accounts to come forward to assist in their investigation.
