Telangana MLA Lasya Nanditha dies in horrific road accident in Sangerddy district

Lasya Nanditha dies: In a tragic, horrific and distressing incident, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA G Lasya Nanditha passed away in dreadful road accident on the Patancheru outer Ring Road in Telangana's Sangerddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Friday early morning.

37-year-old and a first-time MLA, Lasya Nanditha succumbed to death after suffering serious injuries after her vehicle lost control and rammed into a road divider.

Meanwhile, the driver also suffered multiple injuries and is his treatment is underway. 

As per the reports, Lasya Nanditha’s recent road accident wasn't her initial horrific accident as on February 13, Lasya had endured another mishap in Narkatpally, where she suffered minor injuries when she was en route to Nalgonda to participate in a rally, tragically claiming the life of her home guard.

Expressing condolences over sudden demise of Nanditha, Senior BRS leader and working President of the party, KT Rama Rao took to X (formerly Twitter), shared a picture and wrote, “This was about a week ago. Just now heard the absolutely tragic & shocking news that Lasya is no more !! Woke up to the devastating loss of the young legislator who was a very good leader in the making”

"My heartfelt prayers for strength to her family and friends in this terrible & difficult time," the BRS leader added. 

Who was Lasya Nanditha ? 

  • Lasya Nanditha was a prominent figure in the political landscape
  • She contested the 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election as a candidate of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) from the Secunderabad Cantonment Constituency
  • She previously served as a corporator from Kavadiguda since 2016.
  • Her father late G. Sayanna was the sitting MLA from Secunderabad Cantonment but he passed away in February 2023
