Tata Punch EV launched: Tata Motors' subsidiary Tata Passenger Electric Mobility has launched the Tata Punch. ev in India. Tata Motors said the vehicle has certified driving ranges of 315 km and 421 km in two configurations. It can accommodate five passengers.
The new EV boasts 190 mm ground clearance, making it stand out from competitors in its class.
Tata Punch EV has been unveiled at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec variant of the electric SUV costs Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
These are special introductory prices that are only available for a limited time.
While test rides for the Tata Punch. ev are underway, customer deliveries will begin on January 22.
Tata Punch EV will be available in a variety of colours, including oxide dual-tone, seaweek dual-tone, white dual-tone, grey dual-tone, and red. The vehicle also supports DC fast charging.
The electric vehicle is available in two models: Punch EV and Punch EV Long Range. Potential buyers can choose from a variety of models, including the Empowered , Empowered, and Adventure, with both sunroof and non-sunroof options.

The EV is equipped with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and all-wheel disc brakes.
It features a Nexon facelift-inspired LED light bar and a similar bumper and grille design. Other notable features include "split LED headlights integrated into the front bumper, a redesigned lower bumper with vertical strakes, and a silver faux skid plate," the company stated.
It will have 360 L of boot space. There is also a 14-litre frunk (front trunk) under the bonnet.
It is being billed as a direct competitor to the Citroen eC3. In the entry-segment EV market, the Punch EV will compete with models such as the MG Comet EV and the Tata Tiago EV.
The Tata Punch EV will be available in two battery sizes: 25 kWh and 35 kWh. It will provide customers with two charger options: a 7.2 kW fast home charger (exclusively available for the LR variant) and a 3.3 kW wall box charger.
The 25 kWh battery pack will provide a range (MIDC) of 315 km, while the Punch EV Long Range variant, equipped with a 35 kWh battery pack, will provide a range (MIDC) of 421 km, according to the company.
The battery pack and motor are dust and water-resistant, with an IP67 rating. The company will provide an 8-year warranty or 160,000 kilometres (whichever comes first).

The new EV will include standard features such as six airbags, ABS, ESC, ESP, cruise control, and a 360-degree camera, which will only be available on the top-spec trim.
It will also feature advanced over-the-air updates.
According to the manufacturer, it is made of reinforced steel to improve safety. It can go from 0 to 100 in 9.5 seconds, it said.
