‘Stay away from Salman Khan case’: Bihar MP gets death threat from Lawrence Bishnoi gang

PTC News Desk: Pappu Yadav, an independent MP from Bihar's Purnia, received a death threat allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, telling him to stay away from matters involving actor Salman Khan, India Today said.

The anonymous caller claimed Yadav's movements are being extensively monitored, and if he did not heed their warnings, he would be killed. Yadav, who had continuously ignored the calls, was told by the caller that Lawrence Bishnoi had allegedly paid Rs 1 lakh per hour to disable jail jammers and contact him.

Lawrence Bishnoi is suspected of being behind the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai. Following Siddique's death, Pappu Yadav made an open challenge to Bishnoi, claiming that he would dismantle his network within 24 hours. He also enraged the gangster by referring to him as a "two-bit criminal".

According to India Today, in a recorded voice message, the caller says, "You could have told 'bhai' that it was the media, not me. Settle the matter as soon as possible. I considered you an older brother, and you have embarrassed me. Please call back, and I will connect you with 'bhai.'"

Pappu Yadav reported the threat to Bihar's director general of police (DGP), requesting immediate action.

Yadav further slammed the Maharashtra government for the "total lawlessness" that allowed Baba Siddique's murder in public. “The murder of Bihar’s son, Baba Siddique, is extremely tragic. If the BJP-led government cannot protect its influential leaders, what hope is there for ordinary people?" he said on X.
