Early Life in Italy: Sonia Gandhi, originally named as Sonia Maino was born on 9 December 1946 to Stefano and Paola Maino in Lusiana a small village near Vicenza in Italy. She was raised in a traditional Roman Catholic Christian family.

Sonia Gandhi-Rajiv Gandhi Love Story: Sonia Gandhi's and Rajiv Gandhi's love story is a tale that spans continents and cultures. The two first met in Cambridge, United Kingdom and fell in love with each other. Their courtship faced some challenges, however, love prevailed, and the couple got married on February 25, 1968 in New Delhi.
