Tamil Nadu: Child among 6 dead after fire breaks out at a private hospital
PTC News Desk: In a tragic turn of events, six people lost their lives after a massive fire broke out at a private hospital in Tamil Nadu's Dindigul district on Tuesday. After the incident, at least 29 people were shifted to a government hospital.
A team of firefighters reached the spot to carry out the rescue operations. The district collector and other senior officials visited the site to oversee the rescue and relief operations.

"A fire broke out at a private hospital about two hours ago. The patients here have been rescued and admitted to nearby government and private hospitals. There could be some casualties, but we will confirm the number of deaths only after confirmation from doctors," Dindigul District Collector MN Poongodi said.
"We are working to control the situation and ensure the safety of everyone involved," said a senior official from the fire and rescue department.
Rescue operations are underway adn the cause of the fire and extent of damage is yet to be ascertained.
