Security forces neutralise terrorist, recover arms in J-K
Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir), February 16: Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army, in a joint operation, neutralised an infiltrator in the Saidpora forward area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district, police said on Thursday.
They also recovered two rifles, ammunition, and currency notes from the encounter site. "During the preceding night, based on a specific input generated by Kupwara police, a joint team of Army and Police intercepted an infiltrating group in Saidpora forward area. The joint team has neutralized one infiltrator," the Kashmir Zone police said.

The search for more such infiltrators in the area is still ongoing, according to police.
Kupwara Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Yougal Mangas said, "Terrorists attempted to infiltrate the J-K Police and Army at night in the Saidpora area of Kupwara district, and one terrorist was killed. The search is currently underway. Two rifles, ammunition, and currency notes have been recovered from the encounter site."
