Saurabh Duggal wins Chandigarh Press Club presidential elections
PTC Web Desk: Saurabh Duggal has been elected as the new president of the Chandigarh Press Club, securing victory over Nalin Acharya by a margin of 100 votes in the annual elections held at the club’s Sector 27 premises on Sunday. Of the 624 votes cast, Saurabh Duggal received 360 votes, while Acharya garnered 260 votes.
Duggal, along with Umesh Sharma’s panel, secured seven out of nine key positions, while the Acharya-Sukhbir Singh Bajwa panel won two posts.

Senior Vice-President: Umesh Sharma (342 votes) defeated Sukhbir Singh Bajwa (272 votes) by 70 votes.
Vice-President (I): Arshdeep Arshi (318 votes) won against Aarti Agnihotri (302 votes) by 16 votes.
Vice-President (II): Amarpreet Singh (314 votes) secured victory over Ajay Sura (301 votes).
Secretary-General: Rajesh Dhall (315 votes) won against Dr. Joginder (297 votes) by 18 votes.
Secretary: Ajay Jalandhari (307 votes) defeated Pawan Tiwari (301 votes) by a narrow margin of six votes.
Joint Secretary (I): Mukesh Athwal (312 votes) won over Satish Kumar (301 votes) by 11 votes.
Joint Secretary (II): Prabhat Katiyar (316 votes) triumphed against Jai Singh Chibber (302 votes).
Treasurer: Dushyant Singh Pundir (315 votes) won against Anil Bhardwaj (296 votes) by 17 votes.
