Salman Khan house firing: Mumbai police files chargesheet, identifies Lawrence Bishnoi as defendant

PTC News Desk: In the case of gunfire outside actor Salman Khan, the Mumbai police on Monday filed a chargesheet in a special court against nine individuals, including the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated.

Three volumes of investigative papers are included in the 1,735-page charge sheet that the crime branch filed in a special MCOCA court against six accused people who have been apprehended and three fugitives. It includes confessional admissions made under the strict Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), statements recorded under Section 164 of the CrPC, and testimonies from 46 witnesses. Technical evidence and twenty-two panchanamas are also included.


In the early hours of April 14, two attackers riding motorcycles fired five bullets outside Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra.

Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was identified on audio obtained from one of the apprehended suspects in the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence, according to Mumbai police. For verification, the police forwarded the audio from the suspect's phone to a forensic lab.

Anmol, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is incarcerated and lives in Canada, has taken ownership of the event.

Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, was previously said by the authorities to have been a major inspiration for the gunmen. On March 15, 2024, he made it easier for the guns to be sent to Panvel and gave them information about the target, giving them the go-ahead to shoot at the actor's house.

Anmol's instructions were followed, and the planned shooting was carried out. The gunmen received ₹3 lakh in compensation for their work.
