Salman Khan death threat: Daily wage worker arrested for threat call to actor
Salman Khan death threat: A 32-year-old Rajasthan man accused of threatening to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan was nabbed in Karnataka and handed over to Maharashtra police on Wednesday, according to officials.
The accused, Bhikha Ram (also known as Vikram), lives in Jalore, Rajasthan.
"Based on information received from the Maharashtra ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad), one person was caught in Haveri Town and handed over to them today," Haveri Superintendent of Police Anshu Kumar said
According to police reports, the accused had been residing in several areas across Karnataka before arriving in Haveri about a month and a half ago.
They said he had been working on construction sites and was staying in a rented room in Gowdar Oni.
According to a police source, "the accused was watching a regional news channel when he suddenly called the Mumbai Police control room and threatened Salman Khan's life. He is a daily wage worker who claims to be a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This is his explanation, but the Mumbai Police will question him thoroughly and undertake more investigations. Our team just secured him and turned him over to the Mumbai police."
