Ram temple inauguration: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is gearing up to provide round-the-clock catering services to meet the needs of the large number of pilgrims visiting Ayodhya.
In a major relief for devotees and pilgrims, ease of travel, ease of business and overall ease of living, special trains bound for Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya will be flagged off from almost every state, city and district to facilitate pilgrims eager to seek the blessings of Lord Ram.

Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh is expected to witness a tremendous flood of pilgrims on January 22 for the grand opening of the Ram Mandir. The new idol of 'Ram Lalla' will be put in the sanctum sanctorum or 'garbhagriha' of the temple on the day. People from all around the country are preparing to visit the shrine town next month.
Therefore in a bid to accommodate the surge in demand during the newly built Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony next month, Railways has announced plans to run special trains from Amritsar, Bathinda and Chandigarh to the holy city of Ayodhya.
In a major relief, Ayodhya will be connected to different regions and cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Nagpur, Lucknow, and Jammu
The consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmobhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya will be held over a span of seven days starting from January 16 to January 22, 2024.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on January 22.
Meanwhile, boom barriers, bollards, and CCTV cameras are among the security equipment that will be installed in all the entrances of Ram Janmobhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya for the January 22 event.
The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust plans to accommodate 10,000-15,000 individuals, while local authorities are preparing for heightened security measures and logistical arrangements during the ceremony.
