Golden bow & arrow: Ram Lalla's first complete look revealed before Pran Pratishtha

PTC News Desk: Ahead of the pran pratishtha on January 22, the much-anticipated revelation of Lord Ram Lalla's face took place, offering devotees a glimpse of the divine idol. The images, originating from Arun Yogiraj's workshop, showcase the five-year-old Lord Ram standing with a golden bow and arrow in hand.

Crafted by the skilled sculptor Arun Yogiraj in Mysuru, the 51-inch black stone idol entered the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday, draped in a cloth, setting the stage for the upcoming consecration. The initial photo, shared by the Vishva Hindu Parishad, portrayed the black statue with its eyes veiled under a yellow cloth.

The meticulous pre-consecration ceremonies, which commenced on January 16, progressed into the fourth day on Friday. The culmination of these sacred rituals will be marked by the establishment of the holy fire for worship.

The much-awaited moment of unveiling Lord Ram Lalla's eyes is scheduled for January 22 at 12:30 pm, coinciding with the muhurtam of the consecration. Givind Dev Giri, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, elaborated on the unique process known as 'netronmelan.' According to Acharya Giri, honey will be applied to a gold bar, and this ceremonial act will symbolically remove the cloth covering Ram Lalla's eyes during the pran pratishtha. This traditional method of 'netronmelan' creates an appearance akin to 'kajal' and holds significant spiritual significance for the devotees. The official unveiling is anticipated to be a momentous occasion for the followers of Lord Ram.
