Rajasthan accident: 12 dead, several hurt after bus collides with culvert in Sikar's Laxmangarh
Rajasthan Sikar bus accident news: In a tragic road accident, a private bus collided with a bridge (culvert) in the Laxmangarh area of Sikar district, Rajasthan, leaving at least 12 dead and 35 others injured. The accident occurred around 2 pm on Tuesday near a culvert in Laxmangarh.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals in Laxmangarh and Sikar, with seven critically injured being referred to Jaipur.
The incident took place when the bus, coming from Salasar to Nawalgarh, was navigating a turn near the Laxmangarh bridge on the Jaipur-Bikaner road. Due to the excessive speed, the bus failed to make the turn and crashed directly into the bridge. The front section of the bus, approximately 3 to 4 feet, was severely damaged.

Eyewitnesses said the bus collided with the bridge wall, causing the entire driver's side to be crushed. Following the collision, there was chaos inside the bus, and local residents quickly gathered at the scene to assist. Passengers were evacuated and transported to the nearest government hospital in Laxmangarh.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident, with initial reports suggesting that speeding may have been a significant factor.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured were immediately taken to Government Welfare Hospital in Laxmangarh for treatment.
