Rain lowers mercury in Delhi, lowers temperature to 28.4 degrees Celsius
Delhi rain: Several parts of Delhi received rainfall, bringing much-needed relief to people suffering from a severe heatwave. Parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and UP also experienced rainfall.

The minimum temperature in Delhi on Friday was 28.4 degrees Celsius, which is normal for this time of year, according to the weather office.

The national capital's maximum temperature is expected to be around 40 degrees Celsius.
Delhi also experiences light rainfall along with gusty winds on Thursday. The India Meteorological Department predicted a typically cloudy sky with the possibility of light showers and strong gusts throughout the day.
