PTC Web Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently observing an 11-day 'anusthan' (special ritual) ahead of the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. According to sources, during this period, he is sleeping on the floor and consuming only coconut water.

The initiation of the ritual was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 12, expressing his gratitude for being able to witness the "historic" and "auspicious" occasion of the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram temple.

Stamps featuring Ram Mandir, Lord Hanuman, Shabri released

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled six commemorative postage stamps showcasing Ram Mandir, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Jatayu, Kevat, and Shabri. The design elements incorporate the concept of 'Panchabhutas' and feature the 'Mangal Bhavan Amangal Hari' verse, Saryu river, and the Sun. Additionally, the Prime Minister launched a 48-page book titled 'Ramayana-Saga of Shri Ram,' encompassing stamps issued on Lord Ram by more than 20 countries.

Half-day in government offices across India

On Thursday, the Central Government announced a half-day closure for all Central government offices, institutions, and industrial establishments across India in light of the Ram Mandir 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony scheduled for January 22.

A government press statement mentioned, "The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on 22nd January, 2024, across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all Central Government Offices, Central Institutions, and Central Industrial Establishments throughout India will be closed for half a day until 14:30 hours (2:30 pm) on 22nd January, 2024."

The statement also directed all Ministries/Departments of the Government of India to communicate this decision to all concerned. Several states, including Uttar Pradesh, have also declared holidays to mark the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the state on January 22.

Anti-Terrorist Squad Commandoes deployed 

In preparation for the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha event on January 22, anti-terrorist squad commandos from Uttar Pradesh have been stationed at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in Ayodhya to enhance security. Additionally, security measures have been intensified in Mainpuri City in anticipation of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla at the grand temple on January 22 and the upcoming Republic Day on January 26.

A recent post on X by Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra stated that the procession of the idol of Lord Shri Ram Lalla was successfully completed with enthusiasm. Subsequently, the recitation of Anand Ramayana commenced in the pavilion as part of the preparations for the upcoming event.
