Ponty Chadha's Rs 400 Cr Delhi farmhouse demolished
PTC News Desk: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has carried out the demolition of the sprawling farmhouse belonging to the late liquor baron Ponty Chadha in Chhatarpur, valued at approximately Rs 400 crore, officials confirmed on Saturday.
According to DDA officials, the demolition occurred over the course of Friday and Saturday as part of the ongoing effort to reclaim government land from unauthorised occupation and illegal constructions. Spread across about 10 acres, the farmhouse was a significant property owned by the high-profile Chadha, also known as Gurdeep Singh.
The demolition initiative began on Friday, with the reclaiming of five acres of land. Subsequently, on Saturday, the primary building situated on the remaining portion of the farmhouse land was also demolished, completing the operation.

This action follows a similar demolition drive in northeast Delhi, conducted between January 13 and January 17 in Gokulpuri, where unauthorised encroachments, including commercial showrooms occupying approximately four acres of land, were removed.
As of now, there has been no immediate response from Chadha's Wave group regarding the demolition.
