PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plane skipped Pakistan's airspace while returning from Saudi Arabia following the deadly Pahalgam Terror Attack. PM Modi cut short his Saudi trip and returned to New Delhi from Jeddah in view of the situation in Srinagar.

PM Modi returned to Delhi on Wednesday morning after terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists, leaving 26 people dead. The Resistance Front, a local offshoot of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, has taken responsibility for the attack.

Visuals from a flight tracking website confirmed the PM's Indian Air Force Boeing 777-300 did cross Pak airspace as he flew to Riyadh Tuesday morning, but took a wide detour coming back.

After returning, PM Modi held emergency meeting at the airport with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.

A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) is scheduled to be held at 6 pm today.

Condemning the attack, the PM vowed that those involved in the massacre would not be spared.

"I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected," the PM wrote on X.
